To be blamed here are mostly Icardi and Candreva, Icardi was nowhere to be seen and Candreva delayed the play too much. Banega wasn’t at his best either !

Perisic is world class winger, even he’s not in his best shape he’s scoring goals and give assists, Icardi is a high class goalscorer, he’s former Serie A goalscorer, this season already have 6 goals and is still 23 years old. For now only Candreva doesn’t meet the expectations, despite some assists and good crossings, but he have time to prove himself. You can’t judge from one or frew games that our attack sucks. Banega, Joao Mario and especially Medel (who in my opinion wasn’t good enough against Cagliari) had bad games too, but nobody states that our midfield sucks!

Banega was obviously getting tired, he only had one day to rest after the nationals and FDB had to think of Thursday’s LE match. Gnoukouri has a more balanced approach towards defense, so the decision was ok. What was weird for me is why Candreva was left for so long when he was having a terrible match and should have been substituted a lot earlier.
Subbing Banega was ok, but not with Gnou, we needed Kondo.

We often forget that defense starts with central forward and it’s very important to have very good organization between all eleven players on the pitch. Barcelona doesn’t have the best defenders in the world, but but they adapted their game in defensive phase according their qualities, high possession, very aggressive pressing high on the pitch immediately after they lose the ball. In short attack is their best defense! Same is with attack, to score you need good organization, involving all 10 players in building up play. In modern football you just can’t be successful, when you have players who are excluded of the game and are useful only in defense or attack!
