Following the 2-1 victory over Torino, Inter manager and Dutchman Frank de Boer was able to speak highly about club captain Mauro Icardi, despite all the controversy that the Argentine came under in the last few weeks.
“Did Icardi play like a leader? For me, he’s a fantastic player. He is always giving a good example on the pitch.”
“The question about his autobiography wasn’t exactly something very satisfying, but he gives 100% in every match and every training session.”, the Dutchman said.

I can never remember how we have this love-hate relationship with our main striker..from the zamorano-recoba-baggio-ronaldo-vieri-crespo-zlatan-milito era..we always support our striker..icardi never seems to capture our fans heart..sadly..i think..i’m afraid that icardi will leave us..sooner or later 🙁
i think because we love him too much, and sadly we rely on him too much (as captain) so when the team go down, he’ll be the first to get bashed

You should realize that with out the wingers, Icard wouldn’t
be scoring so profusely. The wingers help him enormously by feeding him with
those balls, thereby creating the scoring chances. Sometimes he scores from the
crosses, many a time he fails to score , even
cheap goals. He’s a striker, that’s why he should score. He’s not that
great, you know. So for all intents and purposes, the wingers contribute in no
small measure to his scoring prowess, take it or leave it. Period.
No shit. Attackers score. Wingers pass. Next thing you’ll deduce that we concede so many goals because our defenders don’t defend that well.
Icardi’s a classical heavy attacker. And one of the best at what he does.

You also should realize that without icardi the good cross provided will not be a goal… this is a team, nobody could do it alone. Do you expect icardi to cross the ball and scored it by himself?
Saying he is not great then i wonder why other team wants him. Young and lethal. Even napoli wants him to replace higuain. Chelsea and arsenal wants him too. Only argentina national team doesnt want him even for free LOL it is good for us he wont get tired or injured but surely it is sad for him
