Besides Stefano Pioli, two other currently unemployed coaches are of interest to Suning as they continue the search for Frank De Boer’s replacement; the hugely experienced Guus Hiddink as well as Marcelino García Toral. Today, La Gazzetta dello Sport has compiled a report on which systems of play each of them would look to implement at Inter should they be hired.
Hiddink – The Dutchman would try to adapt to the characteristics of Inter, as he did with Chelsea last season against PSG. He attempted to bridge the technical and tactical gap by setting his side up in a 4-2-3-1, using Cesc Fàbregas and John Obi Mikel behind Pedro, Willian and Eden Hazard with Diego Costa leading the line on his own. At Inter, he would be likely to prioritise the strengthening of the defence which has been leaking goals far too regularly in recent weeks.
Marcelino – The 51-year-old Spaniard enchanted Spain with the progressive 4-4-2 he deployed during his time with Villarreal. He struck a fine balance by using Bruno Soriano in deep midfield alongside the more creative Manu Trigueros. He tended to play with two attack-minded wingers as well as asking his full backs to press high up the pitch. Cédric Bakambu would usually partner Roberto Soldado in attack. Occasionally, one of the two strikers would make way for another midfielder and the team would switch to a 4-1-4-1. This could be a way in which Marcelino can revive Inter’s midfield, by playing Gary Medel behind João Mário and Éver Banega. One thing is certain; under Marcelino, the improvement of Nerazzurri players’ fitness levels would be an absolute must.

Yeah but I see now Mancio somewhere but not in our club.
Mourinho will be free I think, he’s losing one game after another, but I don’t want him, he turned shit in Madrid…
Mourinho’s tactics are now archaeic.
Is it right Marseille has offered 40 mil for kondogbia? Rudi Garcia has gone to that Club goal.com says
It doesn’t matter who comes to take over for now, it’s not like we’re going to realize something this season…
I hate hidink
Guus Hiddink seems the best choice for us really. This guy has experience managing world class players, world class clubs, and risky situations on ongoing tournaments. The only problem I see here with Hiddink is the language. Not quite sure how his italian and spanish are doing right now.
i really dont see why the language is an issue. we barely even have any italians that play.
Well, you’re right. It shouldn’t be an issue really. I was just thinking about general communication instead of using a translator, not only with players but with whoever surrounds him. I hope he remembers his spanish since he coached in Spain some years ago.
Villas-Boas, Blanc and Leonardo turned Inter down already, not a good sign
blanc didnt
Yes he did, he wanted a long-term contract.
not good not good
Villas-Boas turned down Inter and Wolfsburg and he chose a Chinese team. The guy cares only about money. And he’s nothing special.
Just take Hiddink, he wont do the same mistakes like what Enrique did at Roma few years ago and De Boer did to us just recently..
Bring back Strama…
Yes too bad he’s in Greece kicking butt

Hiddink. Anyday.
hiddink didnt know EPL,but he knows football well and he speaks english
marcelino took a mediocre squad really high
problem: neither speaks italian
Better stick with Italian who knows Serie-A for the rest of season
We could do a Zamparini and bring back Mancini. He’s an Italian who knows Serie A well 😛
I wouldn’t mind Mancini being back at all, but I think neither side(Inter and Mancini) are willing to let go of their pride and ego to let this happen. It would signal that Inter admit they fucked up and Mancini being a “stand-by for when you need me” coach.
Mancini’s tactics are terrible. No thanks.
He would also have instant impact that could save our season. He knows Serie A, knows 90% of this team for like 1.5 years…
But it’s never going to happen so pointless to debate.
Yeah and his condition would be to buy Toure and Erkin.
I can’t believe they’re considering Boas and Hiddink but not Blanc.
its because Blanc is a full time coach and Inter are looking for someone for the rest of the season then try and get simeone in the summer.
I understand that but are they so sure they’re getting Simeone in June? What if he chooses to stay at Atletico? Then what? I would love Simeone at Inter. But unless Simeone has already agreed to join Inter at the end of this year we need to consider other options. We can’t wait Cholo forever. We need some stability in this club. We can’t change coaches every year till Simeone eventually comes.
ya i agree stability is key. i dont think Blanc would come part way through the season knowing the reputation we have with sacking coaches. basically this season is another throw away season. i dont see why anybody would want to be our coach. And Simeone is coaching a good team that is playing high calibre football right now. we have a bunch of shitty attitude players playing like shit.
Dont worry, its not every year but every 3month :))
Sacking a Dutchman then replace with another Dutchman. Hiring another foreign manager who barely speaks Italian and knows Serie-A. We’re so smart. Brilliant.
I’m so pissed off with this pathetic and incompetent Inter management.
Just get the fcuk Pioli’s ass to Milan asap to sign with us for the rest of this season.
Its amazing to see how dumb they are if this rumour is true…smh
When we have Mancio, famous Italian coach, we failed. Dunno about Pioli. Heard rumors that Candreva move to Inter because doesn’t like him, if he come to Inter will be make another caos?? Dunno.. Wait for the official..
What do you mean Pioli moved to Inter because he didn’t like him, Pioli wasn’t a coach of Lazio at the end of the season.. He got fired in April..
What are you talking about? Are you a retard?
The guy wrote ‘Heard rumors that Candreva move to Inter because doesn’t like him (Pioli)’, but Pioli wasn’t the coach of Lazio when Candreva moved to Inter. What don’t you understand?
I read in article, about captain problem. Correct me if Im wrong..
Piolo… Or Hiddink. That’s all.
hiddink is garb bro
He did well in his Chelsea experience, first one actually.
However, i don’t want a Dutchman anymore.
