The first round of meetings has ended, but the casting continues. Candidates for the Inter bench were all auditioned: Marcelino, Pioli and Zola, the last name which came out only today but with whom contacts had already started three days ago. The meeting between the delegation of Suning and the former coach of Cagliari have just finished. The Italian coach would be a head coach and not Marcelino’s assistant, as was rumored. To confirm this, in the meeting today, there was a discussion about the possible staff that would come along with Zola, including Casiraghi as his right hand man.
However, it still seems Marcelino is the preferred profile by the club at this time. The Chinese delegation will meet again with the former coach of Villarreal with his lawyer at 16:00. The interview yesterday, in fact, was not thorough enough, due to the strong time zone differences with Italy and China, where some parties were listening in by telephone (and it was at night). Marcelino, therefore, can better expose his project and his ideas, which were already convincing in yesterday’s meeting. And now all are waiting for a final decision.

I actually like the way – which is very unusual- Suning is choosing a new, long term coach. Hey spend time, ads on given 4-5 coaches a chance to express them selfs in job interviews and hat way making sure hey get the right man in. Normally a club just chooses the next one on the list without hinkin about the human factor which you see in a an job interview.
What does it make for different? It is not a long term coach it’s just for the rest of the season till they can get Simeone or someone else! They are just spilling important time. Marcelino and Pioli can maybe give a boost for a short time, Zola and Mandorlini is not good, Guidolin is a long term coach that won’t have the time in Inter etc! So they are apparently not looking for a long term solution!
No that’s not true. According to rumurs the coach Suning chooses will be given a contract until 2018 with an option for another year and a yearly wage on 1.5mil…. so no, we’re not after a caretaker anymore…
Yes we are. Do you think this many coaches would line up if the knew they only would train Inter till the summer? Why do you think they want too give a 1,5 mill contract? Because they does not want too pay more for a short term coach. And till 2018 it’s only a little more then one year… the option for an other year is just to make the contract look more interesting! And do you not wonder why Inter didn’t made a contract with Blanc, Bielsa, Garcia or Boas before they fired FDB? And you say it is rumurs that Suning want it.. I can tell you that it goes rumurs that Suning is going to lure Simeone with a high payed contract in the summer.
And look at them, all mediocre coaches, nothing significant in their career, barely good for serie b, if they brought a team to top 4 once and took 4 years to do it, people will start hailing them as axcellent coaches, in such case I would prefer Guidolin who knows how to train and manage small teams
