According to Calciomercato, Suning will speak to new coach Stefano Pioli about how he intends to use Gabigol.
The Brazilian is a key player for the Chinese ownership hence they want him to play more and become an important part of their project.

A lot of you might not understand the mentality of the Chinese.
In this case, its pretty simple.
They, who is the owner of Inter, has bought Gabigol as a gift to the club and fans. It didn’t matter if we don’t really needed him. They don’t see this as interference or dictating the coach. What more important is your reaction to the gift.
When you don’t utilised him, this is view as the gift was not appreciated. To some degree, it is an insult and embarrassing. FdB ‘rejected’ a EU30million gift.
This is one of his error, beside trying to force change the team playing style too soon and too drastic. He said the player resist the change but I dont think that is the complete picture.
More importantly, they probably tend to ride on the ‘popularity’ or media exposure of Gabigol exploits during the Olympics to create some sort of niche commercial success in China whilst elevating the club profile (which then could create a snowball effect).
By not playing him, now the opportunities of exploit his ‘popularity’ seems to have passed. Imagine the lost opportunity there.
Anyhow, when someone give you an expensive gift, its wise to show your appreciation, more so when that someone is paying your salary.
Hopefully Pioli will give Gabigol more playing time.
media bullshit.. calciomercato rarely accurate by the way.. SMH
Why so fused with the media speculation. The new pilot have not touch the presscon table yet and lots of our mate already filled their head with speculation and judgement :))
So the ownership is going to tell the coach that Gabi is better than Icardi, Banega, Persic & Candreva?
If not, where is he supposed to play, besides as a sub? And Eder is no slouch either; we’d need to sell him to justify Gabi playing in every game.
I get that he’s talented, and I’d love to be wrong about this, but I doubt he can positively impact a Serie A game as much as those four right now.
Hopefully we’d start playing him over Jovetic, though. Jovetic looks good in flashes, but not good enough to justify benching Gabi.
Playing more doesnt mean play every minutes or every game, may be the owner meant in a good way to give Gaby more time so he could become who we heard (compared with Neymar).
I know Inter is struggling and need results soon but let’s face it Inter don’t posses a galaxy of forwards so it shouldn’t be that difficult for Gabigol to get game time just FDB was was bad for this job in every aspect, i mean a youngster can surprise just like Donnaruma and Locatteli, so with a good coach Gabigol will get a chance and will bench someone in this team because he has the talent and and Inter in terms of quality is not bad as FDB made it look
Stupid move or not… he needs to play. I bet Icardi gets alot more service with him turning in instead of crossing.
Its no surprise that Suning wants him to play considering they spent 30m€ on him.
Hindsight is 20/20, but it was a stupid move to buy him. Flop De Boer always had a huge chance of failing so it was always going to be unlikely for him to get much playing time. Its normal for a struggling club like Inter to trust experience over talent when things arent going well and the team isnt stable. Im sure Gabigol will still be behind jovetic and grandpa with Pioli as well, despite those two being close to useless.
Inters history of being notoriously bad at developing and integrating younger players into the senior team doesnt help either.
Loan him out in the winter and sell in the summer to gets as much money back as possible. No point wasting the his promissing career longer than necessary. That money could be used better to improve the starting 11 anyways.
You keep saying this just stop. Eder and Candreva are 29 and they’re not playing forever. Palacio is 34 and players like Jojo and Biabiany will be gone by end of this yr. The only mistake was that Gabi was brought in at the beginning of this season and not next yr… And for all we know Pioli might even play him.
Inter wants to get back to the top. So even if they were capable, they dont have the luxury to give Gabigol the playing time he needs to develop into a starting player.
The very earliest i can imagine Inter possibly being stable enough to actually give a young talent like Gabigol enough playing time to develop is from the 18/19 season. This current season is largely a write-off and the real core will likely be built in the 17/18 season.
We all know that Gabigol money easily could be used to buy an established player to improve the starting 11 and thats what is needed right now.
I find it incredible that Milan, who have been a disaster for the last five years have finally started to look half decent when they have finally started to properly trust younger players. Inter has a much stronger academy than Milan but have absolutely no faith in the players coming out of it. Look at Puscus and Bonnazoli as two of the latest examples.
manaj and di marco also
Another “Coutinho”???
Just seeing that name is like a punch in the guts. Still grinds me that we sold him for basically nothing
How about leaving the technical decisions to the coach?
wtf so they are just gonna force the coach. don’t get me wrong I would love to see him in action also but this will bring friction between them
