Jeison Murillo arrived at Colombia’s training base in Barranquilla last night, the same city in which his country will face Chile this Thursday. That tough encounter is the first of two World Cup qualifiers to be played during this international break; the second is against Argentina.
Upon landing, the Nerazzurri central defender stated: “They are two great challenges that we will face in the best way. I am here with a lot of optimism and desire to win. We are aware of how difficult both games will be, we must loom to counter their game and there is work to do this week.”
When asked to explain the previous encounter between Chile and Colombia, he continued: “Every game is a different story. This time we have the benefit of home advantage and we must take advantage of it. We have learned from what happened before which will help us this time.”
