Arrived in Argentina during the day today, Javier Zanetti gave an interview to the microphones of de La Nacion talking about the big match tonight between Argentina and Brazil:
“This is a challenge that will flow throughout the body, it is impossible to remain indifferent. I never heard in my muscles a challenge as well, even those against England or Germany.”
Argentina is not experiencing the best of certain moments, but Zanetti has the recipe to get out: “Since this situation is starting out on the quality of the players. I trust them, their commitment never ends even if the results have not been good lately. But I have no doubt that Argentina will be at the World Cup, despite what others think.”
Zanetti also spoke of the relationship with Argentina: “I always felt respected, though I was never a symbol, I have been recognized more in Italy than in Argentina. Javier Mascherano, to say, is the heart of the Seleccion, he is a hero. Leo Messi instead is our star, the best in the world, our ambassador. Everyone wants Messi on their side, only in Argentina but we discuss today the world is at the feet of Messi.”

I don’t understand the hype for mascherano. Yea he is good, but argentina has had much better defenders.
