We need proven, first team quality fullbacks to come in January, not a 22 year old who is just catching form for the first time in his professional career. He’s also not currently playing as a fullback, but as a wingback in a 5 defender formation, which doesn’t seem like much of an adjustment, but plenty of players have failed to make the switch (D’Ambrosio).
He is quite good for his age though, maybe we need him for the future
Maybe, but that is an investment that can wait until the summer. We should only be focused on signing players that can come in and have an immediate effect on the first team in January, like Biglia, Darmian and Acerbi.
