Figo talked about the most important stages of his life as a footballer in a long interview for Abc.es. The former Inter player also spoke of his passage from Real Madrid to Inter which occurred in the summer of 2005.

Transition from Barcelona to Real Madrid: “Madrid gave me the love I didn’t get at Barcelona”

The hatred of the Barça fans: “I do not care. I do not live in the past, resentment serves no purpose. I was upset when they were disrespectful to my family. The lack of respect from the press. But the rest I do not care. I do not live my life thinking if Barca fans love me or hate me.”

From Madrid to Inter: “I can not deny that I would have liked it another way. I wanted to leave in a different way, but it was not possible. We were in preseason and I hardly played, so I decided to try my happiness elsewhere (Inter) and not be a problem for Real.

Today: “The vast majority of former players are turning their life to become coaches or managers, but I always liked the business. It is a world that I like. I have several sports projects in progress. football one in India, for the development of sport, another in Florida, but now we will expand to other states in the US. I have football academies in China, where we have already provided work for more than thirty Portuguese coaches. And then we launched a digital platform, in collaboration with several teams. A website where kids can upload their videos where they play soccer and have a chance to be recruited by the clubs.”
