Former Inter Milan manager Gigi Simoni hopes that despite the inconsistency that Inter Milan is facing with various managerial changes, he hopes that one is his former students will arrive to take charge. Simoni has stated that former Inter Milan player and current Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone is hoping that the only club that would make El Cholo leave Spain would be the Nerazzurri.
“Diego has a Nerazzurro heart, he’s fond of Inter and Italy,” said Simoni. “His dream is to return to Inter, he revealed it to me. His heart still beats strong for our colors, he’s had many big offers, but he’ll only leave Atletico for Inter.”
Diego Simeone has recently had his contract downsized until 2018 and remains heavily linked with his former club.
