Piero Ausilio is seeking midfield reinforcements in January, and has identified Genoa’s Tomás Rincón as his number one priority.
Inter are keen to sign at least one midfielder this winter, not least because a number of players are simultaneously being linked with departing the club.
Geoffrey Kondogbia, Marcelo Brozović, Éver Banega, Felipe Melo and Assane Gnoukouri all reportedly face uncertain futures. Of course, not all of them will leave during the next transfer window however.
Should more than one of the aforementioned names depart, Ausilio could look to seal a deal for 22-year-old Atalanta midfielder Roberto Gagliardini as well as the experienced Venezuelan. However, the Nerazzurri would have to beat off competition from Juventus in order to sign the youngster.
Meanwhile, Inter are reportedly in pole position to sign another of La Dea’s promising stars in central defender Mattia Caldara.

He´s not available in January and Rincon provides muscle and power to our midfield. Banega dosn’t provide anything besides a player who’s good at running in circles with the ball!
Banega is the only midfielder we have who offers some attacking threat through the middle.

Actually right now we have nothing but time, since the season is already a write-off and CL a near impossibility.
Signing all sorts of random players in a desperation move to reach a CL spot that we are already 11 points behind is just ridiculous. Thats certainly not the way to get “back to the top”, thats for sure.
We now have little over half a season + some Coppa matches, its the perfect chance to try some new things and let some players mature into the team and be given proper playing time.
Clinging on to some fringe hope of reaching the CL, when the probability of it happening is like 0,0000001 is just ridiculous.

We should never allow our self that kind of thinking; to surrender, give up and throw the season away in DECEMBER!!!
Besides, the director of sports, Ausilio, is fighting for his job so I expect him to do something to fix the squad in January. And bringing in muscle to the midfield and hopefully a regista by sacrificing someone like Kondogbia and even Banega would be a sign of fighting for his job, fighting for us to get back to the top and fighting for INTER!!
I dont care about him fighting for his job. Everything you just wrote are the exact signs of desperation that i talked about, its ridiculous. You wont “fix” this team from one day to another by buying all sort of random players and selling existing ones.
This season is over, regardless if you and Ausilio wants to admit it or not. Making more random desperation changes midway through the season, will almost certainly only upset the squad even further.
Let the existing players mature and develop for the rest of the season and then evaluate changes in the summer. Thats the smart way to go.

Are you really sure you care about Inter? Of cause it matters which pos. we finish in. We always have to fight for the highest pos. as possible! 10th-like we’re in now – is a disaster and we should try and fix that position and our problems in January, that has nothing to do with being desperate, every team do the same thing!
Getting back into the CL is all that counts in my book, if that cant be achieved then who cares about the position, as long as they dont get relegated.
Regardless of that, the point here is that making big changes out of desperation in the winter never works out. NO realistic targets will suddenly make Inter a contender for the CL spots when they are so far behind.
The winter mercato is one you utilize if you are still in the race and need 1 or 2 signings either as for more width or in a single key position to improve your chances on achieving your goal.
When its by all probability nearly impossible to achieve this goal, like its the case with Inter this season already, then its idiotic to go out and make big changes in the winter mercato. There are usually less ideal players available in the winter and they are also overpriced compared to summer. It would make much more sense to develop the current players and find the right core among them, while also giving time to the younger ones like Gabigol, Gnou and miangue.
Making all sorts of desperation changes in the winter will only make it worse.

I´ve seen Rincon a couple of times and against Juve he was superb! He will provide some balls to our midfield, and with Medel in center defense and with Kondogbia sucking the big b–ls we surely need that!
We need players with muscle in midfield and Rincon and a Biglia could provide that! Playing with wing backs we actually allow Anseldi, D’Ambros and even Naga to do what they do best – go forward not thinking that much of defending!
Gnou is talented but should play somewhere where they alowe him to play without pressure- the same goes for Miangue!
I hope Murillo will re-find his form with the backing of a powerful midfield in front of him and 1 extra defender to help him out in defense!

I didnt watch rincon in youtube. I watched him in milan juve match and he really played great and became man of the match in milan game. But it could be misleading though because when i saw his stats those were his best games
