Speaking to Il Secolo XIX, Genoa’s Nicolas Burdisso has looked forward to Inter-Genoa on Sunday: “With Juric’s work and our game plan, I hope we can win. So far away from home, we have had the wrong approach and lacked the reaction to adversity but we’re working on it.”

He then spoke on Mauro Icardi and Inter’s decision to name him club captain: “The decision give Icardi the armband was a courageous choice by the company. On the pitch he has very rarely failed. He does his job on the pitch but what he does in the locker room, I don’t know.”

Burdisso concluded the interview speaking on Javier Zanetti and Walter Samuel: “They are champions who have given so much to Inter and will have an eternal bond with the club. My connection with the Nerazzurri? A beautiful memory. We have won so much, there were so many championships, the affection of the fans, the Moratti closeness. It was a beautiful time.”
