Speaking at an Adidas event, Davide Santon had the following to say on Gabigol and Steven Zhang:
“He’s a big player. He must grow, he’s young and this is a different environment than that of Brazil, he must acclimatise in the right way, then his moment will come when the coach sees fit to do so.” Santon then spoke on Zhang: “He says that it is an honour for him to be part of Inter. He asks us to give our best because Inter is a big family and the players always have an obligation to do their best.”

Many have said Inter need a strong man speaking on the behalf of the owners – have you guys noticed how vocal Steven Zhang has been the last 2 weeks? He has given I think 3-4 interviews, the last you a couple of days ago where he says his father calls him every day and that he follows very much the team and wants to make Inter big again.
We have the link to Sunning in Mr.Liu (the CEO) and now the son of the owner, both living in Milan and now also being very vocal in the media! I think that little by little Suning will know what to change and whom to get in and so on. This year is a transitional year because of the ownership change 6 months ago – which is normal. But in a very near future I strongly believe Suning will show their muscles!
About Gabi, I am starting to think he simply believes he´s the the gods gift to all Inter fans, that he’s the next Neymar or something like that and that he doesn’t need to learn anything new in order to get into the team. He’s agent has said he won´t leave for a smaller club that Inter (so the think he doesn’t need to take a step down in order to learn Italian football), he said 3 days ago that Inter is “humiliating” Gabi (which makes me quite angry; he have had 3 coaches since he arrived (FdB, Vecchi and Pioli) and non of them thinks he´s ready to play just yet – so just bugle up and work!!
On tweeter he show a small video of him self unpacking a painting order from a famous Italian painter, showing himself with no short on look at the spectator! WHO THE F**K ORDERS A PAINTING OF HIMSELF AT THE AGE OF 20!!!!? I think the hype has totally gone to his head!

Have too disagree with you, gabigol hasn’t played a single minute, hasn’t had a chance to show what he could be used for ect….. but players like rannochia,Murillo,Kondogbia,melo,NAGA, palacio always find themselves into the first team despite being consistently shit 75% of the time.. Where as we buy a young Brazilian high potential striker and don’t even use him when where down 3-0. this is worse then the countinho case. Everyone’s just speculating on why he hasn’t played, oh he’s a bust, oh he’s big headed,oh he’s lazy ect…. but really IMO inter have no balls to play youngsters,there scared they do it all the time,you Saw it with countinho and your seeing it again,guerenteeing he’s going to Liverpool and gonna net atleast 5-6 before the end of the year.
Some fans want it all; to play attacking football, to win all games, to win it all, to play a hole team of youngster – but the truth is that it just isn’t realistic! A big club,aiming for the top needs to play players with experience before youngsters and then once in a while give the youngsters that deserves it a chance to play. But a player who think that he is already ready for the big stage and doesn’t need to learn anything won’t get any playing time. That’s also what happened to Kondogbia remember?

Why do you think Mancini wanted Yaya? The coaches at Inter don’t field the best team, but the team they think won’t cost them their job, yet here we are sitting mid table. We are the opposite of what a team should be doing. Inter’s in first by a large margin, play the old guys. Inter is down 3-0 75mins played, play the old guys.
I would not be surprised that if Gabi is loaned out he doesn’t return and Inter has a really hard time signing any “wonderkids” for a long time. Personally being an Inter fan, if I ever had the chance to play for this team at a young age, I’d turn it down for the sole reason that I won’t be playing regularly until “I show what I can do in games during practice.” That makes 0 sense.
