Fiorentina’s difficult midweek fixture against Napoli at home will not be the only challenge for La Viola. This coming Thursday a very important board meeting is scheduled, where Andrea Della Valle, Mario Cognigni join Pantaleo Corvino to decide the club’s strategy in the upcoming January transfer window.
One of the more pressing issues that need to be solved is related to Badelj. AC Milan are expected to table a €10 million offer for the Croatian midfielder whilst Inter intend on to use Stevan Jovetic offering him to the Viola in a straight swap.
Jovetic has already packed his bags and seems destined to depart from Appiano Gentile with a comeback to Fiorentina seemingly more likely. Whether or not Badelj will go in the opposite direction remains to be seen.

There is not a whole lot of options available during the winter break and Inter needs a holding midfielder. On the other Inter also desperately needs to get rid of Jovetic as he is a bum who offers nothing and is on high wages.
Badelj is probably not starting material if Inter wants to challenge for the scudetto, but would be a good backup/rotational/squad player beyond this season.
JoJo is very under appreciated. The field is alive when he plays. Looking forward to him getting a chance somewhere.
