Ausilio is smart enough in those kind of deals, just hope he has motivation with us considering we have more Brazilians players right now!
based on the performance by recent ex premier league players who was play for us, this is probably bad transfer. Podolski, Vidic, Wallace = Bad. Osvaldo, good but hot head = bad. Jovetic=not good, Medel = decent.
Im afraid that Lpool will ask gabi in return
Just add some clauses tied to his performances in the next 6 months.
So if he played great and added values to Pioli’s team, then his contract would be extended. As easy like that.
I know many Inter fans will not be happy with Lucas arrival. But this is the best we can get in this winter mercato because of FFP shit. Moreover, Lucas was pretty solid as a backup though. He might be the upgrade version of Melo.
Next: Get a solid fullback (either Darmian or Vrsaljko). A loan with redemption would be enough.
He started bad at Liverpool i remember, but then he become the unsung hero until he’s become injury prone and lost his place to younger and more creative youngsters..
I do agree that the real DM that we have are only Medel and Melo, so if Melo leave then Lucas Leiva is ‘proper’ solution. Considering how we need and put Melo in starting 11 in last few games is frustrating..but if Lucas can give what Melo offer, then any other combination of Brozo-Mario-Banega-Kondog will suffices. I also don’t see Gnou as defensive minded midfielder, so it would be practically head-to-head battle with Medel to be in starting 11. With all that said, the competition of starters would be positively interesting.
Lucas somehow reminds me of Cuchu. The unsung heroes.
Many fans don’t appreciate their conservative and straight-to-the-point styles. But these guys can stabilize the team when needed and control the tempo when other players started losing their heads. All big teams keep this kind of player. Barca with Busquets, Madrid with Casemiro, Chelsea with Kante and Matic. We used to have world-class players like them. Cuchu and JZ were the unsung heroes of trebles. When people kept praising Sneijder, Eto’o and Milito at that time, I worshiped Samuel, Cuchu and JZ.
I do believe that Pioli is smarter than we thought. He tried to bring Inter back to its core by fixing our grande Inter cores first: catenaccio with deadly counter attack. I’m pretty sure next Ausilio will get him a new solid fullback. That’s all when things are getting very interesting 🙂
yeah but some of us really appreciate the “Cuchu” he should’ve retired with us, fuc… management!
no matter how much you grow the grass this snake will always find his way in
He used to be one of the best defensive midfielders before his injury problems. Always gives 100 %, though sometimes a bit too aggressive. If we get rid of Melo I don’t see any reason not to give him an option for another season.
lol, he was never good and looserpool fans always hated him, he only became slightly ok at benitez time
Im not impressed with buying other teams leftovers lucas is very inconsistent he has always strugvled to remain a consistent quality player and if he comes to inter he will just be another bit part player sitting on the bench I believe it be best inter go after younger up and coming talent we have enough older hasbeen type players awful boring signing
yap he is garbage and if any good klop would not let him go
He’s 29 and tbh he’s been pretty constant over the years in Liverpool. He’s not Pirlo but he gets the job done most of the time, and that’s what we need.
Yes. He’s in my top list for dmf this january honestly. His profile just fit in. Could be a good general in midfield for us. He’s not too old either.
Rational for him. Just make criteria like number of appearance, or else to triggered automatic contract extension,
Give him the option to remain past the spell as long as he takes wage cuts. It would be better than an overpaid felipe melo come 2017 season.
