Stefano Pioli spoke to Gazzetta dello Sport from Marbella, where Inter are holding their winter training camp: “Hard work always beats talent that does not work. Our focus is mainly on the mental side of things, because from there we can go to work on the tactical and technical aspects. The friendlies were useful to me. I have clear ideas on what to work on to improve this team. I said in the games I only saw lights and no shadows and because of this I now have an idea on what to work on in the coming days. There are still things we need to work on but I am very pleased, but I already was at Pinetina. In terms of players weights the data was normal and all are fit. Will January be a tough month? I only know the next opponents, Udinese.”

Ok here is a question ..
What if Pioli’s inter succeeds to qualify to the CL..
Would Simeone still be an option for suning if he is available to sign?
Why must we expect someone who never exist (in Inter)?
Definitely a good question to ask, but unfortunately I’m not sure anyone can give you a sure answer. Personally, if we do succeed in qualifying for CL, I’d like to see Pioli stay at least one more season for multiple reasons. First, he’d deserve it. Second, the team can gain more unity remaining under the same coach for about 2 seasons, instead of another switch, even if it’s an upgrade. Third, getting Simeone this summer would mean having to pay his release clause, which we’d be much better off using on a player instead. Fourth, even with signings this summer, I’m not sure if this Inter team would be up to the standards that Simeone has seen at Atletico over his tenure.
if pioli manages to take inter to UCL then I say don’t fix what aint broke, simeone can wait if he really wants to come to inter
