The evidence is really piling as more and more Italian media outlets confirm that Wolfsburg’s Swiss international Ricardo Rodriguez has decided on a transfer to Inter.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports on his homepage that the player prefers Italy and Inter to Paris Saint-Germain as the Nerazzurri have already contacted the player’s entourage and are hoping to secure a deal now for when the transfer window opens in June. The player has a minimum release fee clause set at €22 million but a deal could be brokered at €20 million.

Tuttosport also confirms that Rodriguez wants a move to Inter after having declined interest from Chelsea and Arsenal. According to the Turin-based newspaper the Inter hierarchy are pessimistic about being able to sign him during this transfer window as they first have to raise funds for such a transfer. Should Ever Banega once again not feature in Stefano Pioli’s plans when the season kicks-off again this weekend, the Argentinian playmaker could be shipped off to China for around €30 million, raising more than enough to activate the player’s €22 million minimum release fee clause.
