Inter-bound Roberto Gagliardini is the second highest rated player in all of the Serie A in Gazzetta dello Sport’s classical match ratings so far this season beaten only by Torino striker Bellotti.
This according to a FcInter1908.it report quoting twitter account NonLeggerlo who has put together a list of the 10 highest rated players of the Serie A so far. Belotti has an average rating of 6,78 and leads Gagliardini who’s amassed an impressive 6,65 with Napoli’s Mertens in third place.
So far this season, Gagliardini has received the high rating of 7,5 on 3 different occasions by the Gazzetta as well as being labelled a ‘mini-Steven Gerrard’ and ‘future National team midfielder’ amongst other things.

Although we lack a defensive midfielder our midfield is SOOOO crowed. Who are we going to ditch? Given the fact that players need playing time to shine…. I would built around Joao Mario and Banega, probably ditch Brozovic, Kondogbia (although he has future, he just needs time) and maybe Perisic as well. I would also use Gabs on the flanks, left or right and ditch Kandreva who is old.
Sounds good to me. We’ll see about that
He’s typical defensive midfielder, and if he trains his shot he would be steven gerrard.
Only time will show. Unfortunately we have a bad reputation of destroying talents. Let’s hope he will shine
Is he similar to Marchisio or am I completely in the dark here? Have not paid any particular attention to him before.
He’s closer to a De Rossi than anyone else.
Is this guy really that good? I just started hearing about him this year. Hopefully with him and Brozovic we can have a stable midfield going into the future
