After the disastrous start of the season, I was one of the people defending Frank De Boer. I wanted him to have more time with the team, not because I had faith in him, but because of the fact that changing coach yet another time represented a very risky gamble. Seeing how things are going under Pioli, I’m glad Inter took that risk. I’ll be the first to admit that the group of fans (myself included) who wanted to stick with De Boer was wrong. But if we put things into perspective, the odds of a different head coach having such a positive impact at the time were very slim.
