Former Inter and Roma defender Nicolas Burdisso was interviewed by Laroma24.it where he was asked who his favorite President in club football is.

“I have to say Moratti. I could also say Maurizio Macro who is now President in Argentina but also Rossella Sensi who made a promise and also kept it, or even Preziosi, who is a President whom I’m confronted with every week and surprises me with his vast knowledge of football. But I have to say Moratti, who during a difficult time such as the illness of my daughter knew how to say: ‘you shouldn’t play football right now, return to your home.’ I have to say this, because aside from being a fantastic person, this was a unique gesture.”

The current Genoa captain was asked who the best team mate he ever had was to which he replied: “Walter Samuel. For me he was a legend. When I was a boy I saw him begin his career in the Under 20’s, Newells Old Boys, Boca. When i was promoted to the first team at Boca he was there and we won the Libertadores Cup together. Then I’ve followed his career in Europe, and we were reunited at Inter and the national team. We spent a lot of time together, shared the same room. He is a silent leader.”
