Stefano Pioli was satisfied after his side’s victory over Chievo, the fifth consecutive win in the league. Interviewed by INTER Channel, the Inter coach analyzed the match at the San Siro:
“The boys believed and deserved this victory. We lacked just a little determination in finalizing in the first half, which then we had in the second half – said the former Lazio. I really want to give solutions, be compact, attach the depth. If we give our everything every day, we can face every game with this attitude. We attack with many players who are unpredictable which can also benefit Icardi. We want to end January in the best way possible.”
Kondogbia reborn?
“I am very satisfied with his growth. He knows he can grow again, he is putting so much work like everyone else. But there is no secret: it is the daily work that pays.”
Palermo and Pescara: two matches you play on preparing for with special care?
“Certainly from a psychological point of view, but you can see that now it’s more difficult against the smaller teams. It’s always like this during the second half of the season. If we match their motivation and fighting spirit then we can express our superior technical ability.”
Gagliardini performance tonight?
“He has always played well with Atalanta, I wanted to take advantage of his enthusiasm. An important step in his career, but it is entirely deserved for what he did. I am very satisfied.”
