Did you see that Murillo goal? Things were going well in the first half till we got caught on the counter. Find out how the players fared last night.

 

 

Carrizo – 6: Doesn’t inspire confidence at all. Couldn’t do much on the goals as he was let down by his defence, but there is a sense of fear whenever the ball is near him

D’Ambrosio – 6: One of his better performances. He did much better running into Bologna’s half and made quite a few important clearances when things got tough for us.

Medel – 6: He looked rusty as he’s been out for more than 70 days, but he was calm and composed all the time. Cant wait for him to team up with Miranda when fit

Murillo – 7: What a hit that was! More than the goal, I remember him getting beat only once in the 120 minutes. His best performance of this season without a doubt

Ansaldi – 5.5: It’s difficult to describe what’s wrong in a few words. Cant cross for his life, cant dribble or beat a player. He should have atleast tried better on Donsah’s goal

Gagliardini – 7: Did we really sign him last week? Was he secretly training with us since August 2016? He’s playing at a level beyond his age. Complete midfielder. Classy.

Kondogbia – 6.5: Another fantastic performance. Under Pioli and with Gagliardini he seems like a new signing. This is the player we paid for. Long may it continue. Refreshed

G. Barbosa – 6: Now we finally know what Pioli saw in training. Gabigol did well, but showed lack of experience in Europe. Needs some work but he is on the right track

Joao Mario – 7.5: Brilliant midfielder. If he finished the easy chances he got, he could have had a brace of assists and goals. On his way to being world class in a season or two.

Eder – 6: Not the same player he was at Doria. I don’t remember him doing anything great in attack. Too much of the ball with too little end product, tried too hard.

Palacio – 7: His brain writes cheques his body cant cash. Still got in a goal that was very important for his confidence and ran himself into the ground. Dependable.

Candreva – 6: Struggled to get a cross in or dribble past any tired Bologna player. Lucky but important goal. His experience of knowing where to be got us through.

Icardi – 6: Runs for 2 men. On the near post when we defend corners. Can score goals that other 9’s can only dream off. Shame about the missed chance though.

Brozovic – 6: Was brought on to close down Bologna and played on the left wing. Looked un-natural there but plenty of industrial defensive and offensive runs.

Pioli – 6: The winning streak goes on and on. We need to work on the fact that we concede goals when we are on top. Has performed miracles in his 2 months.

Mariani – 6.5: Got everything right. Let the game flow on which added to the entertainment value. Nice to have referees like that. Assistants did a good job as well

Inter – 6: We played like a world class team for the first 40′. This performance reflects what is good and bad at the club. I like the fact that we always believe till the end
