Premium Sport reports that Sime Vrsaljko could return to Italy after having barely been called upon since joining Atletico Madrid.
According to the report, the former Sassuolo and Genoa full-back, could join Inter despite his agent’s statements to the contrary but that this can only become a possibility during the last few days of the transfer window.
This would be a tragedy for Atletico. Especially with Simeone putting him at RB and letting Juanfran Torres play RM. That combo allows some flexibility to the team. Plus Vrsaljko is our future. Juanfran is getting old and should start to play a lot less after this season.

He is better than our current RB’s, but i would pass on him tbh.
I think Inter should strive for a better starting RB than Vrsaljko. He clearly wont come here to be a backup for next season, so if Vrsaljko joins then a better RB wont arrive in the summer.
Im also not convinced that Vrsaljko, who have barely played in over half a year, could really be decisive in reaching 3rd place. He would need time to get match practice and gell with the team etc etc.
Better try to survice with Dumbo until the summer and then buy a real quality RB and ricardo rodriguez for LB.

You and Inter4ever sound excited about Sime.. I honestly can’t remember him when he was playing in Serie A and I never watched him recently.. is he an upgrade compared to our FB lords? keeping in mind that people here are saying that he barely played this season
He might not be on par with the likes of Darmian or Rodriguez but he’s far beyond our current FB’s capabilities, especially in crossing and defending, which seem to elude both Ansaldi and Dumbo. Only thing is he doesn’t seem very quick on the ball, but that’s fine considering we mostly use our fb’s in attack when we try slower and more careful build up plays. Which need precise crosses and our fb’s can’t cross to save their lives… And compared to Darmian and Rodriguez he’s affordable right now and we REALLY need a fb if we hope to reach a CL spot.
Actually he was the best rb in Serie A last season, he’s better than Darmian.
Id be happy if either ricardo rodriguez or vrsaljko join in the last day of january. But, ricardo rodriguez still must join either now or next season.

It is not about like or dislike. But the only great ansaldi was when he played for genoa. He was average in zenit and atletico and now he becomes new Lord in our fb
