With ansaldi out santon has a chance to displace hi. In the squad he was playing well before he got injured n hasn’t had a look in sense n if he shows he atleast at the level he was beforw being injured then he should rightfully be ahead of ansaldi
yes our fullbacks are terrible but it’s all about comparison , other than rube no one has a lot better defensively fullbacks than our tow dumb
Sorry for the long rant. I love inter and football and it’s hard to find people who want to discuss things like that. I find a lot of inter fans(mostly in this website) to be very shallow

U see there is something I rate highly in players, and that’s footballing IQ. not a lot of players have a good footballing IQ but as for inter, Miranda, gagliardini and Mario or even cambiasso understand the game really well and never seem to underperform. Murillo on the other hand doesn’t really have that. But he tries to compensate it by his really good physicality. He’s fast and he’s strong. He tends to make these stupid challenges and tackles all the time because he doesn’t understand things that much. When was the last time you’ve seen Miranda do a sliding tackle? Probably once or twice a season…. That’s why Im against bringing in Manolas or defenders like him. We need defenders that understand the game.

Yes I agree. There is a difference between a good defender and a world class defender. A world class defender understands the game and doesnt have to go to the ground almost every attack. Compared him to Miranda who I’ve actually only seen do a sliding tackle once in 2 years. We need players that understand the game specially in defense. We’ve seen world class players like Lahm, Alaba and Thiago silva who understand the game so well that they actually haven’t had a yellow card in years. We need those type of players

agreed. Icardi and Handanovic as well. These players are considered intelligent in the sense that they do not always rely on physical strength to head on the opposite players.
Well we have a great center back partnership in Miranda and murillo and ansaldi who’s good at isolating wingers with his pace. And we dumbo who’s been improving a lot lately.
Ansaldi really struggles with pacey wingers. Remember Suso destroying him for instance ? Not to mention his countless misplaced passes and crosses.
