Philippe Coutinho has extended his stay on Merseyside today. The Brazilian magician has agreed to a contract extension until 2022 and will earn £150,000 a week. Speaking on the extension he said: “It is a great honour for me to sign this renewal. Here I was welcomed with open arms by everyone, from the club to the fans: I have to be grateful to Liverpool for all.”

He was definitely sold cheap, but if Inter still had him, who he be a nailed on starter (now, not the last few seasons)? Or Kovacic for that matter EUR 35m:) I would have Joao, and probably Gagli before either, as they give more defensively. Its lack of decent defenders thats the problem.
