FIFA have changed who they recognise as club world champions. The beautiful game’s organising committee will now only recognise winners of the Club World Cup, first played in 2000 as “world champions.” Therefore, Inter are only one time world champions despite winning the Club World Cup predecessor the Intercontinental Cup on 2 occasions during the Grande Inter days.
