Argentina boss Edgardo Bauza spoke to Fox Sports about his Seleccion and Mauro Icardi:
“I will go to Europe this week, and will pass through Turin to watch Juventus vs. Inter,” said the manager.
“I’ll talk to Icardi, and I will tell him what I told Zanetti, that I see him as the third striker after Higuain and Pratto. Mauro knows that if something should happen to the two of them, I would call him.
“He also knows that we are following him. I heard that (some think) the reason for not including Icardi is because the players don’t want to include him: this is not true. I spoke with the players and they have no problem with him.”
Well good for inter then. Icardi doesn’t need silly distraction like travel back and forth for lousy national team. Inter must keep icardi fresh every week. It’s even better if you put palacio ahead of icardi for argentina
