Felipe Melo spoke with globoesporte on how he would celebrate when he scores his first goal for Palmeiras. The fans have already likened him to a pitbull and have even dedicated a song to him and Melo was asked if he’d celebrate like one: “In Turkey I scored and my celebration imitated a pitbull. I remember our first title in the first year, we were becoming champions at the stadium of our biggest rivals, Fenerbahce. It was the greatest title of my career, just for that. When we returned to Istanbul we found the fans that imitating the pitbullAt Inter I only scored one goal and I celebrated like a pitbull. It will depend very much on the time and the importance of the goal. Sometimes I do not even think of a celebration. The important thing is to score and help Palmeiras and it will be for a long time. Everything that happens outside does not influence me. I have to fight in the field to honour the jersey. The affection of the fans of course makes me happy, but I have to maintain discipline and be a regular and cconsistent.”
