Andrea Ranocchia has been named in BBC programme Match of the Day’ team of the week. Analyst Garth Crooks had the following to say on Ranocchia’s inclusion: “This guy was not even playing. One of the advantages of being a foreign manager is that Marco Silva has a lot of international scouts that have worked well in the January transfer window. Ranocchia entered the game against Liverpool, as a last minute replacement for the injured Michael Dawson. They had gone into panic mode over losing their captain at the last minute, but the Italian was absolutely superb in defence.”

This shows how overrated Epl is. But people will keep watching it because there is no mafioso fixing matches like serie a fucking league
yes, they don’t have juve.
Their only controversy is in Fergie’s time I think.
They have had plenty of controversy.
Inccuding a general, very established habit ,all throughout the Premier League, touching even many England international players.of fixing all kinds of games results ,every sunday.
Also they used to have the worst, most criminal ,most senselessly violent ‘ultras” type of fans in the world.
That is why English teams were banned from all European competitions for many years.
Let’s not forget.
Wow, that’s a lot. I didn’t know those scandals you mentioned. Since I was never interested in EPL I don’t know much about them, also I hear the hooligans are pretty controversials too.
To be honest..some of their big stars ,like Grobbelar ,Fashanu and many others, were selling games in the most dishonest, obvious, ridiculous way for the longest time.
Fixing results for betting purposes,or to sell out to the big teams was a looooong ,established tradition there.
I don’t know if it’s still happening now but…
who knows..
Last year they were saying, the best defenders in the PL are Smalling and Koscielny LMAO. Makes you think, Froggy could make it to top five defender of the overrated PL then.
nice to hear. there goes and money for inter with that.
Out of curiosity, I watched the game to see how will he stacked up against the mighty Liverpool.
First, Liverpool isn’t as mighty as I presumed. Hull did defend rather deeply but that is expected.
Second,
yes Lord Rano didn’t even had to play that hard. Just simple and proper
defensive positioning seems to do him a lot of favour. Although he
seems to be a little slow (lack of pace) in his movement. A few more
matches is what required to get him back to full match fitness.
The long pass that turned into an assist for Hull City 2nd goal really top up his contributions for the day.
Its a win-win for him, Hull and Inter. Hope he continue on this path.
As I have mentioned: If Lovren has a place in that league so does Rano. Hopefully he doesn’t blow it so we can get $20m out of him at the end of season. This also proves how shitty EPL is in comparison with Serie A.
If only Serie A had impartial FIGC not the dirty biased one towards Rube though….
Good, maybe will get some cash for him too.
As long as he does not come back with Inter.
Hull City or Middlesborough or Watford.. or whatever..just not Milan please.
at last, he used to be an inter captain !
