I hope you are not in a line of work where you have to interpret statistics of any sort.
Maybe you should consider WHY he has been given a “massive 35min of playing time” by 3 different coaches and not only look at the minutes but the reason for this: simply not good enough!
I think he has the skills to be a good forward, I think coaches don’t like him taking so many touches. They want team ball movement according to the plan, when Gabi gets the ball he is looking to “make” something happen instead of “taking” what the D is giving him.
Agree, he’s Brazilian and LOVES to have the ball at HIS feet – unfortunately that’s not the way you play football in a top league – there simply isn’t the time to keep the ball too long.. but true he’s clearly very talented and will, after a loan spell in Serie a, return a stronger, more ready player let’s say in 2018.
