Inter put last week behind them with a professional performance against Empoli and got the 3 points they deserved. See how each of the starting 11 fared:
Handanovic – 7 Empoli had 3 shots on target and he saved them all brilliantly. Snuffed out any thing smart that Empoli tried. Needs to work on that rebound issue though.
Murillo – 6.5 Great work by Murillo today, he is making hay while the sun shines on his decent run of form. Don’t remember him making any mistakes or being out of position
Medel – 7 Absolute class. No fouls conceded, always there to battle it out. Tactically he is perfect in a 3 man defense and distributes the ball amazingly well. Leader
Miranda – 6.5 Not the usual unbeatable Miranda today, but he was still good enough for Empoli. His experience and awareness enables him to play this well consistently
Candreva – 6.5 Was much better today, he didn’t waste time on the ball and tried a lot of early crosses. Great movement on the goal and covered his flank well defensively
Gagliardini – 7 Right now Roberto is an untouchable at Inter, he is the midfield leader and a key part of both phases. Just needs to improve finishing to be world class.
Kondogbia – 7 Crunching tackles, winning the ball when he decides to, no look passes, brilliant touches. The Kondogbia of last season is now well and truly dead and buried
D’Ambrosio – 5.5 Usual Danilo today. Did the basics right and would have stayed on if he didn’t have abdominal issues. He should have done better on that chance though
Joao Mario – 6 There arent many 24 year old mids who can play like seasoned professionals. Only mistake was that counter where he took a shot instead of passing at 2-0 up
Eder – 7.5 Pioli puts his faith in him and he has never dissapointed the coach. Great assist to Candreva, used his striker’s instinct on the goal and never stops running
Palacio – 6.5 Yes he’s not the same guy from 2 years ago, but he proved to be effective today, the goal came from him chasing a lost cause and covered every blade of grass
Ansaldi – 4.5 Ansaldi would come last if he ran a marathon alone. He is unable to do basic things right and messes up things when he isnt under any sort of pressure
Gabriel Barbosa – 6 Was decent in his 20 minutes today, he tried his best to get into decent attacking positions. Always manages to raise the volume at the Meazza to maximum
Pinamonti – 6 Showed signs of some good movement and strikers instinct in his league debut. In the few minutes though it was clear he has the right attributes for a striker
Pioli – 6.5 Playing 3 at the back against Empoli at home seemed defensive but his team were all over Empoli like a rash. Everything went according to plan for Stefano
Domenico Celi – 5 In another country we would get a penalty for that slight push on Eder. Not in Italy. He whistled for a lot of soft fouls that werent there or necessary.
Inter – 6.5 Professional and pleasing performance after a week where we were tested to our limits. The reaction was great and looks like we will build momentum again.

Ansaldi man where should I start u were terrible absolutely terrible u played pass to invisible players u couldn’t beat ur man u struggled to get back crossing was ugh u had a chance 45 minutes to have a decent game n u fucked it up by playingp1-2s with imaginary players ugh should b bench for santon
I think Gagliardini has decent finishing, the keeper did good on the shoots!
Regarding Mario: I saw a look in his eyes I have’nt seen since Cambiasso! That was the best moment for me. A future legend, I am sure.
Gagliardini-kondogbia really compliment each other. Beautiful
Kondo reborn. I cant believe it happened. I already gave up on him. Congrats to amin who always trust him.

Yeah, K-dog Andre 3000 just needed to quit that silly Outkast project, when only focusing on football he is amazing!
Is he really suspended for next game?
Whoever says ansaldi is class really need to stfu. We dont need trolls in sempreinter
I still firmly believe he is our best offensive FB. Don’t get me wrong, he’s not in Inter’s level. But at least he has delivered a cross that is higher than the knee, and made forward passes not latheral ones.
I don’t want to see ANY of Nagashit. Maybe some Santon, and Danilo is obviously my pick between all our backs.
Gabigol shows a weak shot, does anyone else see this?
I hope he found the patience to improve and grow with Inter.
He was nervous in the match. The burden of the gabigol name with still no goal
I have a feeling gabigol is not that special, oh how I miss imperatore!!!!
Piamonti will be a beast in the box if he stays focused. His movement and attitude is that of someone older.
Kondogbia is getting real good
With a real left back like Rodriguez of Wolfsburg this would already be a pretty complete competitive team.
Only that.
Ansaldi 2.5 for me.
nah, too much
more like 1.5 for me..
God, how we always stuck with terrible FB !
I’ll give 7.5 for Miranda in defence, Kondogbia in midfield, and Eder in attack.
sry Ansaldi deserves a 4.5 but why does Danilo has almost the same rating with him??Danilo deserve a 6 with Ansaldis rating or Ansaldi whousl get a 3.5 MAX 4!
It wasn’t a penalty.. He fell way too easy if there wasn’t a touch on he’s feets but I didn’t see any.. it would had been very very cheap if Inter got that penalty…
It was if hes wearing black n white jersey.
With the scale you guys are rating players on the only players I’d anticipate getting a 9+ in this season’s Serie A are Hamsik and Mertens. Seriously? Maybe you should consider changing the scale a bit…
Match ratings are scaled differently in Italy: a 7 is considered a good game and anything over an 8 is a world class performance. Personally, I can’t recall a player ever receiving over a 9 match rating in Italy.
Murillo did better than Miranda today. Also 7/10 for Samir? You guys need to up your grading… Samir gets 8, and Eder 8.5.
Barbosa also didn’t do well. Too much Dribbling, that led to losing our tempo in attack. 5.5 for him.
Gagliardini should have scored in this match. But he did great in the match.
He needs to work on his shot placement: he seems to shoot right at the GK 90% of the time!
MAybe even less for barbosa, he’s not very impressive. I agree Murillo was a boss and palacio was delightful. Good performance aside from ansaldi and barbosa.

Hey look inter played another game in the formation I suggested weeks ag.
I certainly would prefer to see both Medel and Murillo play instead of one of our shitty FBs.
But the question will be: Will Pioli have the balls to bench Dumbo for Perisic as a LW and start Eder at the same time instead of a weaker side like Bologna. That way, I support 3-5-2. Otherwise I believe 4-2-3-1 is more balanced offensively.
sell ansaldi in june
send him to china
Ansaldi only got 4.5? He was better than Danilo! He’s a world class!
XD
