The President of the Italian Referee Association Marcello Nicchi, was interviewed by Le Iene about the possibility of Italian football being drawn into another Calciopoli scandal.
“I say that it is impossible. From that date we have had other scandals like the Calcioscommesse or the Lega Pro issue where no referee’s where involved. The means that the lessons from calciopoli have been learned.”
