I think many will disagree, but I just don’t see a big value in Ricardo Rodriguez. I admit I did not see full matches with him, but from the videos on youtube it seems to me an average player, that is ok enough in defence, and in offence it doesn’t count almost at all (many back passes, poor ball control). I know is not a fair comparison, but compare him with Alaba, for example, and you’ll see the big difference between the two (both in defence and in attack). The price tag is different, indeed, but Sunning seems to have the resources to buy high valued players.

Let Rodriguez compete with Semedo and Darmian, throw Miangue and Di Marco to the mix, buy also Vrsaljko for RB (to compete with D’ambro and Darmian), and release Santon, Naga, Ansaldi and Erkin.
