Tuttosport are in no doubt; Ricardo Rodríguez will be an Inter player before long.

Sporting director Piero Ausilio met with Gianluca Di Domenico, the Swiss left back’s agent, on Monday.

An agreement on personal terms is close and there will soon be another meeting in order to iron out a few minor details.

However, it will be much more difficult to reach a deal with Wolfsburg seeing as the Nerazzurri are reluctant to pay the player’s €22 million release clause in full.

Volkswagen have been forced to cut their funding of the Lower Saxony club by €20 million, therefore the Wolves intend to raise as much cash as possible via the sale of Rodríguez.

Inter are set to offer €15 million plus €4 million in bonuses as, with the player’s heart set on a move to Milan, they believe Wolfsburg would find it difficult to refuse such a deal.
