After a difficult 1-0 win over Bologna, Stefano Pioli discussed the match tactics with INTER Channel:
“We suffered from a compact and very determined opponent. The game could’ve been different earlier with the occasion with Palacio where the ball bounced badly. An important sign these three points, the team believes. A very desired victory, we are running a lot: 9 victories out of 10 games is a very high pace. But the others are also winning.”
Gabigol and Banega decisive? “Maybe I’m wrong for subbing them on (jokes). The goal came for a reason: we all put our best. Often you can change matches by having the right attitude. At the end of the day, the important thing is that we won, it does not matter who scores. What matters the most is the desire to stay in the game. Therefore I believe we took a step forward. We knew we had to play an extraordinary second half. We’re only halfway through the season and we’ve been together not for long. We have only worked with this group for a few months.
The match against Roma? “Very strong team that is ahead of us, but our goal is to give our all to win: we have to shorten the list. Also we are strong.”
Murillo? “Was a little fatigued, I think he might not be available on Tuesday, but certainly in the coming days.”
