Inter are set to face off against Roma at the San Siro this upcoming Sunday in a potential season decider for the nerazzurri. Pioli will welcome back some key players to the squad for the match. According to Sky, Pioli will only give minutes to players in optimal physical conditions. Brozovic will be evaluated, however, he will only play against Roma if he returns to match fitness. Jeison Murillo’s condition will be evaluated in the upcoming days. At the moment the two guaranteed starters in the midfield are Roberto Gagliardini and Joao Mario. Brozovic will probably get the nod ahead of Kondogbia if he proves that he is in an ideal physical condition.

With the current level of performance, Kondogbia is much better than Brozovic. With Gagliardini, he has been consistently putting the balance between attack and defense for us, and this could be crucial because Roma’s midfielders are very tight and strong. Further more, we already miss Miranda and must be prepared if Murillo cannot recover soon.

I think we should play Kondo as Halfback and make him mark Dzeko but that would be very exhausting as he has to go down and up help the attack.
We don’t have nothing to lose, because only if we win will have some chances for Champions League spot. Our fullbacks sucks hard, so we have to risk with three at the back in 3-4-3, four midfielders arranged in diamond, but not with D’Ambrosio and Candreva, which are not midfielders. Kondogbia or Gagliardini in front of defense, two of Gagliardini, Joao Mario and Brozovic as inside midfielders and Joao Mario or Banega as trequartista. We have to take risks if we want to win, because Roma are strong team with good players.
We’ll probably play a 4-2-3-1 because we are short on centerbacks and we are familiar with that formation

No one can’t stop Dzeko if Roma using long ball tactics. If Counter Attack, Roma will exploit Left Flank with Salah. If insist using Brozo, Nainggolan will win the duel. Icardi will be mark by Manolas. This is the hardest match.
Agree with everything, except Brozo. in home game last season, he had Nainggolan in his pocket.

Yeah…that’s sadly true. I hope all the players give all their best to fight and win the game. Kondogbia and Gagliardini are expected to ‘tame’ Nainggolan. Dzeko poses real threat, and I am not sure who will be able to stop him with Miranda’s absence and probably Murillo. It is sad that in a very crucial fixture like this, we will miss our two best centerbacks… Medel is great but he doesn’t have anything to match Dzeko’s powerful aerial ability. We must prevent Roma’s long balls. Salah’s killer speed is also something that Pioli must take into account. Icardi should be able to defeat Manolas.

Still think the ideal paring in central midfield is Gagliardini/ Kondogbia or Gagliardini/ J.Mario because Mario does a lot of defensive work and is strong as an ox where as I think Broso has struggled a bit lately…
