Well, my first reaction knowing our starting eleven was WTF with playing 4 of our cental midfield??! First few minuets playing, I was sure Pioli made a huge mistake, but then after Radja’s goal (we should have brought him in 3 seasons ago…), I think we are going to break Roma in the 2nd half..
* Placing candreva and perisic in the midfield wings and defense is a smart move! who knows what will happen if we have ansaldi in the left and only murillo and medel in the central defense.. this 3 man defense might be the best way to go especially when we dont have miranda.
* it is obvious playing 4 central midfield is Pioli’s gamble, The thing about it on this game is the players are still used to wide attacking wingers (Perisic and Candreva). but as time rolls on I see they are getting the sense on how to play within the formation.
I think Pioli will change this formation midway on the second half with his effective subs and we will get our goals and points!
