So true, many players have been playing really well after he came in.. Kondogbia, D’Ambrosio, Murillo, Perisic – Eder does well when coming on and hopefully Banega is about to explode(still have my doubts about him…)
Besides I still think we need a technically regista type of central midfielder to help building play – Kondogbia struggles to do excatly that.

Did you forget that this is the first year of Banega at Serie A? Remember that Gaizka Mendieta? It’s very rare to see an ex la liga players explode in the first year, except Il Fenomeno R9 and Bobo Vieri.
Recently, Banega has been improving his fitness and tactical positioning to fit with Serie A. No wonder he has been doing very well recently. I’m pretty sure him and Perisic will be the keys to the last 11 games.
Only one good game and he´s the shit? Not to me… he has to prove it over many games not just one against the 2nd worst defense in the league! But hopefully he finally has settle into the Italian way of playing…
Samuel, Figo Cambiasso, Milito, Icardi, Thiago Motta, Callejon, Abiol, Pepe Reina, Higuain and the list goes on and on with players moving from Spain to Italy with no Probs!
We got Banega for free and he had bagged 3 goals (same as 45 million euros Joao Mario) and provided several assists with very limited playing time. Give him enough time to adapt with Serie A.
And Please get your facts right:
Samuel was already a former Serie A Champ when he moved to Real.
Milito played several years back and forth for Genoa.
Pepe Reina played years for Liverpool and Bayern before Napoli.
And Icardi? He spent more than two years with Samp.

And comparing Mario and Banega is simply laughable…. One is a super player who knows how to play in every pos. in midfield and with quality, the other – well, only last 70 minutes and only knows how to play as an attacking midfielder…
Yeah sure, 45 million euros compared to a free lunch is laughable. Especially when both players have pretty similar goals & assists stats in Serie-A. Whatever.
My point is the players are not comparable and in my view Mario should play in the center midfield with Gagliardini as our central playmaker
