Sadly, one would expect the later.. Hope we just stick with the bigger / settled names this window, that being Rodriguez, Darmian etc..
Exactly. Prospects are nice and all, but continuing to attempt to plug our fullback holes on the cheap is just tempting fate at this point.
Unless my memory’s failing me, the last time we tried splashing the cash an “established” fullback was 5 years ago (Alvaro Pereira). And he only established himself at Porto, not one of the top leagues.
We MUST get some proven players at those positions. We won’t win anything with the chaff we have now.
