7-1, can some one explain why he chose to play old players instead of the young one like Gabi or Pinamonti
There’ some respect to opponent team IMO, since If Pioli choose to field Gabi or Pina, it would be a humiliation for Atalanta to face our younger player hunger.

not really, Atalanta also changed their 2 most important players with younger player, so they know this match already ended (Papu Gomez and Franck Kesie), it’s not a humiliation if we sub in younger player too

yeah i can understand that but when would you choose to give some of the younger guys a chance and gain 1st team experience, when you’re playing a bigger team and loosing? It’s just weird to me but idk i’m not the coach

The reason for filling Palacio and Eder instead of Gabi was due to him(probably) wanting to keep Atalanta on a 1 goal!Palacio and Eder due to being more experienced they wouldn’t go all in on this Mashacar to try and score and they would help more defending!Sorry if what i typed makes zero sense it’s just that i am ill tired and arelady sleeping.
