Inter demolished Atalanta at the San Siro thanks to 2 hattricks from Argentine duo Ever Banega and Mauro Icardi. With the latter scoring thrice in 9 minutes before halftime, the former scored a brace before the interval and then bagged home the first hattrick of his career whilst also getting notching up 2 assists. World class. Roberto Gagliardini scored against the club he’s played for since he was a child and has now scored 2 matches in a row, both times endign up on the scoresheet to end Inter’s goal orgy.

Samir Handanovic – 7:  Had best seats in the house from the 15th minute & onwards. Didn’t stand a chance when Atalanta scored. Captain after Icardi subbed.

Danilo D’Ambrosio – 6.5: Good performance by Danilo, especially defensively. Wasn’t able to help out as much as he maybe could & should offensively.

Joao Miranda – 7: Barely put a foot wrong today as he kept Petagna in his back-pocket for 90 minutes. Partnership with Medel works brilliantly.

Gary Medel – 6.5: Works his socks off every time. Complements Miranda excellently & makes up for his height via sublime understanding of the game.

Cristian Ansaldi – 6.5: This is the Ansaldi Inter want & need. Up & down the left flank like a high-speed train allowing Perisic to only focus on attacking.

Geoffrey Kondogbia – 7: Had won 2 vital challenges within first 7 minutes of the match. Franck Kessie will have nightmares about K-dog who owned him.

Roberto Gagliardini – 7.5: Partnership with Kondogbia just gets better & better with every match they play together. Scored a great goal against his boyhood club.

Antonio Candreva – 7.5: Made 2 great assists but makes simple mistakes that prevent mark from going higher. Has so much football in him but very inconsistent.

Ever Banega – 10: 3 goals, 2 assists & an alltogether world class performance. First time anyone has received highest mark from us. Thank you for the show.

Ivan Perisic – 7.5: Missed a sitter in the 3rd minute but aside from that he marauded down the left flank pulling down Conti’s pants time after time.

Mauro Icardi – 9: Scored the fastest hattrick in Inter’s 109 year history. Hadn’t scored against Atalanta since 2014 but only needed 9 mins to score 3 today.

Joao Mario – 6: Came on in 70th minute to replace Banega & did what he always does: controlling the match demonstrating composure & maturity.

Rodrigo Palacio – 6: Brought on in 77th minute for Icardi who left the pitch to a standing ovation. No impact on the match that was well & truly over by then.

Eder – 6: Inter’s supersub replaced Perisic in 82nd minute & had a great chance to score but was denied by Atalanta goalkeeper Berisha.

Stefano Pioli – 9: Got it 100% right today & exposed Gasperini’s tactical weaknesses ruthlessly. Only critique against him is not bringing Gabigol on today.

Massimiliano Irrati – 6.5: Maintained a somewhat consistent level througout the match but got it completely wrong when not sending off 2 Atalanta players.

Inter – 9: Sensational team effort from Handanovic in goal all the way to Icardi up front. Inter have scored 12 goals in 2 matches. Brilliant.
