Gazzetta dello Sport reports today that inter are set to appoint a new CEO after easter when Liu Jun is set to return back to work for the Suning Group in China but the change in management doesn’t end just there.
According to the report, Erick Thohir’s indirect involvement in allegations of corruption in Indonesia could accelerate an exit from Inter as soon as this coming June. “Suning are not happy with his involvement albeit indirect as they have invested a lot on the image of Inter although the two parties are yet to find an agreement regardng the terms of the tychoon’s departure” Gazzetta report.
Massimo Moratti is monitoring the situation but the main candidate to take over the vacant Presidency in that case remains Steven Zhang, the sun of Suning supremo Zhang Jindong.
