Éver Banega has finally got into his stride, after an inconsistent start to life in Milan. As well as scoring goals and providing assists against Cagliari and Atalanta, his all-round game has improved tremendously.
Tactically speaking, there are very few differences in him compared to the beginning of the season. That is, besides Frank De Boer’s experimental set-up which saw him deployed as a regista once or twice. He has usually played as trequartista in the 4-2-3-1, the system which has brought Inter so much success in these past two matches. Offensively, the team has exploded, scoring 12 goals in 180 minutes of football.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Argentine is now in much better physical condition. The former Sevilla man seemed to be well off the pace in the early part of the season. Despite impressing against Juventus, Roma and Lazio, his better performances remained isolated cases – until recently that is. He often struggled against lesser teams because they tended man-mark him, but showed the necessary speed and presence of mind to overcome this against Cagliari and Atalanta.
Banega now seems destined to stay at Inter, bearing in mind the club rejected a lucrative proposal from China in January. Since then, he has become a vitally important part of Stefano Pioli’s jigsaw.

One of Banega/Broz will surely leave at the end of the season. I d rather keep Broz, he is younger and could be sold for approximately the same price as Banega. Both are inconsistent though, but Banega was brought for free so the earning would be better
if u ask me il call u crazy for wanting to sell banega to hell with the age difference why do u want to sell a player who plays with his mind before his foot

Broz and Eder would balance the book next summer. Candreva would be included as well in case one of Alexis/Bernadeschi came.
J.Mario and Brozo don’t have the class of Banega. Brozo cost us 11 or 13 mil, Banega free, so the difference is about 12 mil.I don’t think that Suning and the club will have some problem for 12 mil. If you want next year to be in top 3, the class and the experience of Banega are needed. Next year i would like to have in midfield Banega, Gagliardini, Kondo, J.Mario, Lorenzo Pellegrini + one more good player,better Italian ( Verratti is the dream ). My choices are based on last 3 months perfomances.
It’s not our goal to finish in top 3 next season but to win the championship. In that case we need Bernardeshi and/or Veratti in that position, not Broz/Banega, they both play few matches on a high and then go low – they are both inconsistent. Surely Banega up to date has shown more than Broz, but lets not forget the second part of last season. I was watching the whole picture – we need to balance our books, otherwise we getting into new Moratti era (who would have thought in Y2000 that we would end like in period 2011-2017?). Regardless of Suning going into new investment cycle trough Inter, we still need to have our books positive at end, otherwise Suning will end this story like Moratti and Thohir…
When i am saying to be in top 3, i mean the 1st place as well.
I want Verratti as well, but non of them is real trequartista. My opinion is to sell Brozovic and not Banega.
So you want to balance books by selling Banega and Broz. You get about 50mil, Then you buy Bernardeschi (at least 50mil) who is worse player than Banega btw and you think you fight for the title now? Or then you also buy Verratti (at least 80+mil and give him wages about 8,5/year compared to Banega about 3mil/year)
Ok, now you´re at least 80millions negative+you´re paying annually something like 6 million more wages. And you have just made other star players ask for raises to their wages because Verratti earns way too much compared to them.
Neither Verratti or Bernardeschi are really that marketable players so you won´t sell many of their shirts. What´s the big picture here? How did you just save money and not do the same thing that Moratti did?
You did exactly what Moratti did by selling Banega after just one season when he hasn´t had time to adapt to Serie A and integrate to the team. And you´re banking to the fact that somebody might in the future pay the same insane amount for Verratti that you just paid, which you can´t guarantee+you have a team that isn´t much better than what it was to begin with. Moratti, is that you?
Who’s the guy this season that has had class in big games to do something special: Banega. That first goal against Lazio, that amazing goal against Roma in first game against them, that great performance in midfield against Juve in the first game against them. This is the reason Tuttoshit is praying that we sell him.
