Banega is in form. Torino will build a tactic to neutralise him. Pioli wants to keep his winning team without changing too much part. Playing with Mario is one way to do that but that doesn’t mean he will play in starting XI.
After his recent form and especially his performance against Atalanta, Banega has earned his starting role. And not getting into the starting 11 after such a game must be really discouraging for a player. But the hell if I know, I’m not a footballer, it just seem logical to keep your most in-form players.

Yes he is faster and better finisher etc, but CAM/Trequartistas role is much more complicated than that. J.Mario has superb ball skills, a good range of passing long&short and confidence in possession. He can hold the ball and he has a great mind on reading the game.
I would choose J.Mario over Eder on that position every day of the week.

Every player misses some chances, J.Mario has missed maybe 2-3 clear cut chances at his time at Inter, BUT his main job is not to score. And trust me he can shoot the ball, he will show his abilities and make the difference.
Eder did fuck up the last game but a great cam is like snejder was think of him as a role model in that role, he did not hold on to the ball long and was able to shoot from distance, j mario killed everyone in euros, and that was his defensive abilities that stud out his tracking back was second to non, his powerful runs was second to non he is a cm and cdm to me plus we have the best cam in the world on form
no way, eder don’t have a vision as playmaker, no ability to hold the ball and distribute the play. if something that you must put eder behind the striker is as Second Striker.
Dont think mario has great vision neither atleastveder can shoot from outside the box and is lighting fast, and he diesnt need to hold onnto the ball long , did sneijder hold on to the ball long?
Whilst I understand the need to rotate I don’t think now is the time, Banega is in immense form and I don’t think he should be dropped after 2 games. He scores a hattrick and gets benched the next game… hopefully his morale doesn’t drop

Nothing wrong, it’s just rotation, Banega is in form but Mario is a better player and had a better season. Although I prefer Candreva on the bench with Mario as a RM and Banega as a CAM.
Mario does not have good crosses like Candreva. I am pretty sure Banega will start no matter what
I’m pretty sure he can deliver good enough crosses to the box..
we havent seen enough of mario as a RM. i would like to see him there and Banega as our CAM. i understand rotation, but Banega was on fire last game. he needs to play to keep that momentum going. i do agree that Mario is a better player though.
