Stefano Pioli spoke to Inter Channel after the draw in Turin with Torino: “D’Ambrosio in the national team? He has done put in the performances and done so with continuity. There is satisfaction, but especially for him because he deserves it. Performance? There were many errors to allow us to control the game how we wanted, we wanted to be masters of the field and crush the opponents, we have the potential to do so. However, the build up was not always precise and even the movement without the ball wasn’t. The match was difficult, the team wanted to fight, win, there is regret as there were chances to win at the end. We must expect more from ourselves and stay inside the game knowing that there may be games where you’re not having the best evening, but you have the qualities to take home wins with determination. To win games where you are not 100% becomes very important in the development of the league. Give up? I do not want to hear it, I do not want to hear this term. We have a duty to give our best every day, every time we go on the pitch, with the qualities we have and with this performance, we can still win a lot and hope to make up some places. We wanted to win and we have to work at it to figure out what to do to improve but we can become even more determined and team.”
