Stefano Pioli answered numerous questions in a press conference after the draw with Torino:
What bothers you more, the lapses in concentration or Perisic’ mistake at the end?
“We must build a winning mentality, it is built mostly trying to win games in which you are not 100%. In this game we have to improve. When we are dominating we produce so much, when we commit some mistakes we must have the anger to understand that we’re the best and we have to take every occasion home with us. We have to grow into it.”
Did you expect to face such an aggressive Torino?
“Yes, they’re like that every time they play at home. Only Juventus have won here and we knew it would be tough. Before I spoke of mentality and that is one of our goals. But we showed character when resuming the match at 2-1 and we did everything to try win.”
Inter were not at 100% today, was it a technical or mental issue?
We made unusual mistakes, especially in the build up play. Making mistakes in the build up means that from a technical point of view we were not at 100%. From a physical point of view the team fought until the end and to the last whistle we showed character and good physical condition.”
Any update on Medel?
“For now we know it is a muscle strain, it is difficult to assess.”
