According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Mauro Icardi was furious that his side couldn’t grab a win from yesterday’s clash at the Stadio Olimpico.
They report that the Argentinian was angry in the changing rooms after all the chances Inter missed to win the game.
The paper says: “A mix of anger, bitterness and perhaps self-criticism, in an evening where he wanted to keep his Inter on track for Champions League football and maybe get closer to dethroning Belotti from the top spot in the goal scoring charts.
“He fought like a lion in each of the attacks Inter had but often had to deal with hopeful passes forward, only managing one shot on goal in the 90 minutes. He had a goal rightly disallowed for offside, lost the ball 11 times and never fouled. For Inter, a demonstration of how not to use your most lethal weapon.”

perisic let us down big time many time he could of passed to icardi
Hopefully he is angry at himself because he was utter garbage yesterday, the torino defenders had him in their pockets, he misplaced 7/16 passes and lost the ball numerous times.
Only Perisic was worse yesterday tbh.
the worst player yesterday was gagliardini
Agreed ,particularly in the second half.
Also,in our attempt to win at any cost in the last 15 minutes he definitely was’nt needed anymore.
He was the one that should have been changed ,objectively.
He may be a great “holding” type of mid fielder ,he is good for us altogether ,in many ways..but he definitely is not yet the type of high quality offensive player that helps you create chances in tight spaces, against a full defense parking the bus.
On the good side,he is a hard worker who has been making constant progress, so he may get better at that too in the future..will see.
he opened so much space and created for many for perisic and missed no chances
I think we learned this season that he truly cares about Inter. His kicking the ball to Rizzoli and his anger after yesterday’s draw. I wasn’t sure about him as well, but lack of him in these two games proved one thing – Icardi is priceless.
