Among the players not called up by Argentina who now could possibly receive a call up, is also Mauro Icardi on of them?
“Absolutely not. Icardi was called up to the National team only once under Alejandro Sabella, but has played very little. Personally I do not think that he’s the solution to the problems. Icardi is hardly better than Higuain and has not even won trophies in order to even kick up a fuss. The captain of Inter’s worst times and there are players not considered by Bauza that could be much more useful, especially in midfield and defense. With Messi, Dybala and Higuain, Argentina has no room for Icardi in the attack.”

Problem is Mauro only wants to play for Argentina. I’m thinking he’s waiting for these other guys to retire which is wrong imho. He should just change for the betterment of his career. He would do better with Italy anyways with all this exceptional young talent that is coming of age.

So you can do all the individual things right in order to deserve a call up: start at a lower club, earn a transfer to a big club, become top scorer in a major European league, become big clubs captain, but because the team did not win trophies you dont deserve to be looked at for a call up. So tell me again how Biglia gets called up? Lazio havent won anything and Icardi is just as good at being a striker if not better than Biglia is at being a defensive midfielder. Then you have Pratto who has only won South American trophies and only played for Lyn in Norway, Deportivo in Spain, and Genoa in Italy (where he bagged 3 whole goals) in terms of European clubs. So yeah, I totallllllllly see the journalists logic there.
Will your words be valid when Inter starts winning? And for a football journalist, saying from now that with messi piggy and dybala there will be no room for Icardi is just stupid and ignorant bcz that’s not how planning and preparing a national team is, you make all available and valued options and you always think about injuries

The way they treat Icardi actually pisses me off. As others have said he is our captain through some tough times yet he has proven that he can score goals, get assists, and especially this season, show maturity… He is constantly growing and without a doubt deserves to be in the national team.

What the fuck does his personal life have to do with his football ability… Suarez is able to bite chunks off people yet is still bought by Barca and played in the national team, and in my opinion that’s much worse considering it is something he does during a game.

Maxipad and Wanda were seperated for I believe 9 or 10 months before Icardi and her started dating. She obviously didn’t like the relationship she was in and found better. It’s that a good thing? She improved her life and that of her kids (which i don’t think Maxipad even cares about). Ya let’s chastise a 20 something year old for becoming a man and a father to kids that aren’t even his. There is no logic left on this planet and it’s a god damn shame.

And some are posting picture of themselves in nice cars or on holiday or what ever – Icardi ONLY posts pic´s of his children and family stuff (as do Medel BTW) which shows what the young mans priorities really are!
