After having helped his PSG win the Coupe de la Ligue against Monaco, Marco Verratti defended his club in an interview with Canal + after the match.
“We gave a great performance. We knew how important it was to win. We’ve been insulted a lot lately, so this was a win we deserved. We’ve gone through some difficult days, but we didn’t let it get to us so now we can celebrate. We’ve won everything for the past 4 years but instead they’ve treated us as if we’ve had 4 sh*tty years. Everyone needs to respect PSG.”

Everything? In France yes, but P$G has become a bit of a joke in europe.
PSG have spent nearly 600m on players since Nasser Al-Khelaifi became their sugar daddy and thats even after sales have been deducted.
You cant really ask for respect when you fail to make more of an impact in the CL than only reaching the quarters every year, when you spend crazy money like that.
It seems that even all the dirty arab money in the world isnt enough to “buy” the CL, which is ultimately a good thing.
