“We are a big club, but for now we are not where we should be. The Champions League race is not over though. As long as the mathematics allow, I will believe. We have to win all our remaining games. The Milan derby will be tough, but we must give everything with the help of our fans.” Those were the words of Geoffrey Kondogbia, who spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport in Paris yesterday at the launch of his new website and charity foundation.
In the aftermath of the defeat to Sampdoria, rumours of Stefano Pioli’s departure have again resurfaced. The former Monaco midfielder is clear: “I have been at Inter for a year-and-a-half, and I now understand how things work. Losing just one game leads to new names appearing, both on the bench and on the pitch. Even when you win, it’s the same. It’s part of the game. Now we just have to work hard. Pioli has given us confidence, to me in particular. We have improved tactically, and I feel better because I have gained more experience.”
The Frenchman also has a clear idea regarding his own future: “I’m fine at Inter, my family are happy here and I see no reason to leave. Maybe the fans were expecting a little more, considering the price the club paid for me. It’s up to me now to prove my qualities. Verratti at Inter? You cannot deny he is one of the best midfielders in the world.”

All the players in the squad seem to love Pioli (kondogbia, Gagliardini, Icardi repeatedly, D’Ambros, Ansaldi and more) have all stated that they really like the coach and that really matters a lot!
Let Pioli get the players he needs in the summer and let him show what he can do with a hole pre-season with the team he has build!
i wish piolo had the appeal mancini has, but hopefully with $uning it will be smooth..
I think that with suning, we don’t need to rely that much of the appeal of our coach, seeing that everyone now knows that Inter is a team building and aspiring for the very best..
Yes Inter is a big team but I think the coach has alot to do with it as well. Mancini has somewhat of a well known reputation winning with Inter, ManCity, and Gala. Pioli is less well known and doesn’t have the credentials that Mancio has. Mancini is also very persuasive when calling other players and trying to get them to join the team. I don’t really know Pioli much to say how he interacts with transfer targets.
The problem is well end up signing another J. Mario who hasnt had a breakout in a big club, which i dont mind but we need someone more proven, the lines of Miranda,(on a good day)banega etc. level (when we first got him) if we can.
hehe $uning 😉 Yes money talks
